Play Therapy

The Fondazione Meyer is directly responsible for all animation activities at Florence’s Ospedale Meyer: playing, reading, theatre, the garden in the Ludoteca, with colors and furnishings designed for children, to the relaxing notes of the musicians. Meyer’s Ludobiblio is colorful, welcoming space open to all children, both those hospitalized or coming for visits or tests. Here they can play, read, borrow games and books, receive visits from their siblings and friends, watch performances, take part in parties and creative workshops. The project Meyermusica offers creative and original music in every ward and in the Ospedale Meyer’s common spaces while involving children, parents, staff and visitors. The hospital’s horticultural therapy project is another intervention aimed at improving the quality of life of all the children who can participate in caring for and cultivating a real orchard.
