Gender-related Effect of Cultural Participation in Psychological Well-being: Indications from the Well-being Project in the Municipality of Milan

The study looked at gender differences in processing the cognitive stimuli generated by art exhibitions and participating in cultural activities. It drew on a sample of 1000 inhabitants of Milan to assess the impact of subjective wellbeing as measured with the Scale of General Psychological Wellbeing (scale from 0 to 110). A significant statistical difference was found in the distribution of variables by gender, marital status and income.
