Dance Well. Movement research for Parkinson's

Dance-Well Research and Movement for Parkinson’s was created to manage pathologies and include patients, family and professional carers. It promotes dancing in museum spaces and other artistic venues and is open to all. The initiative was conceived and promoted by the Municipality of Bassano del Grappa through its CSC Centro per la Scena Contemporanea, member of EDN - European Dancehouse Network. It is an artistic practice focusing on the development of expressive skills and includes rehabilitation strategies that can have a positive effect on the symptoms and quality of life of persons with Parkinson's disease. It is an on-prescription therapy used by the health authorities in the Region of Veneto and it is expanding beyond its original boundaries. During the Covi-19 pandemic the project was developed online for patients and carers, with special attention to the digital divide. The study does not assess biological impact.
