Promoting and supporting Art Therapy and Art Therapists in the health professions

This is the professional organization for art therapists in the UK. It works to promote art therapy and provides professional support and advice to its members, representing art therapy to commissioners, policy makers and opinion makers, and working to ensure that the general public understands what art therapy is and how it can help transform lives.
It publishes the peer-reviewed International Journal of Art Therapy, a periodical publication for members, Newsbriefing, and a professional journal. It also runs the Art Therapy Practice Research Network (ATPRN). It is a member of the Allied Health Professions Federation and actively contributes to ensuring that art therapy is recognized alongside other allied health professions in the health service.
