The multi award winning Arts in Health of the Chelsea and Westminster Hospital NHS Foundation Trust combines visual and performing arts with live music and dance; participatory music, arts and crafts workshops; film screenings at the CW + MediCinema; innovative design and green spaces; a collection of over 2000 art works and digital installations are aimed at transforming the hospital environment for patients, families, volunteers and staff. The programme Arts in Health works in three main areas: Arts for All, Design and Environment, Future Hospital. Underpinning the work of the CW+ vi is the goal of accumulating a robust body of evidence that clearly demonstrates the impact on patients, on care delivery and cost effectiveness, as a result of working together with academic partners on project evaluation and through the dissemination of findings.
